Elle, the highly-anticipated prequel to Legally Blonde, has finally landed its release date – and we have some first-look images to boot! 25 years on from the original film’s release, this is a must-watch for fans of the franchise.

The upcoming series follows the iconic Elle Woods (Lexi Minetree) as she navigates high school in the 1990s, charting her journey long before she reaches Harvard University as a law student.

Announced by Prime Video in May 2024, fans have waited a long time for the beloved character to be back on our screens, and they’ll only have a few months to wait as the series will premiere on 1 July.

In addition to the release date, we also have a couple of images, showcasing Minetree’s version of the character draped in Elle’s classic pink clothing.

Created by Laura Kittrell, who serves as a co-showrunner with Caroline Dries, the supporting cast for the series includes June Diane Raphael and Tom Everett Scott. Reese Witherspoon, who portrayed Elle in the 2001 film, serves as an executive producer.
