The final two chefs of “Hell’s Kitchen” were chef Ellie Parker of Nevada and chef Jada Vidal of Florida.
On last week’s episode of “Hell’s Kitchen,” the remaining two chefs chose their teams for the final dinner service, which consisted of chefs who competed this season. Vidal picked Anaiya Lator, Anthony Leonard, Henry Johnson and Chris Faison. Parker chose Cydni Stickney, Lisa Rivera, Jayden Canady and Alexandra Jones.Â
Before their final dinner service, Ramsay gave both chefs their chef jackets for the finale and gave them advice on controlling their kitchen and monitoring the food that they put out.Â
Ramsay also introduced the two to Rodney A. Butler, Chairman of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, who offered encouraging words and gifted both chefs a stay at Great Wolf Lodge.
“Tonight, you represent your states, you represent yourself and your families and you represent me,” Ramsay told Vidal and Parker. “But to become my head chef here at Hell’s Kitchen Foxwoods, you’ll be representing something else extremely important, the amazing people here as well as this incredible land.”
With a packed dining room, the two chefs kicked off dinner service with the title of head chef of Hell’s Kitchen at Foxwoods and a cash prize of $250,000 on the line.
Smalls mistakes were made during appetizers in both kitchens with Canady leaving seafood to become too salty and Lator serving up undercooked scallops. In Vidal’s kitchen, Faison struggled on garnish, which forced Vidal to make the decision to switch him with Leonard to help Johnson on meats.
“Smart move,” Ramsay told Vidal. “(You) should not be waiting for garnish.”
Another misstep in Vidal’s kitchen came from Lator, who brought up undercooked snapper twice.
In Parker’s kitchen, entrées went out smoothly. At one point, Ramsay pressed Parker about overcooked chicken, which she fought back at him about and sent out. Both agreed though that Rivera on meats should use less heat on the chicken.Â
At the conclusion of dinner service, Ramsay collected the comment cards from diners and explained that he would need time before making a final decision.
Calling both chefs up to his office after some deliberation, he told that they “both exceeded my expectations.” “I see before me two strong, talented and determined chefs. Very well done to both of you,” Ramsay said.Â
Ramsay called Vidal a “ray of sunshine in the kitchen,” exemplifying her home state of Florida while he called Parker’s dishes “absolute showstoppers,” reflecting her Las Vegas roots.Â
As is tradition with “Hell’s Kitchen,” both chefs were instructed to stand at the two doors in Ramsay’s office and open the door when told to do so. The person whose door opens would be the winner.
As both chefs reached for the door knobs, chef Parker’s door swung open — signaling that she was the season 24 winner of “Hell’s Kitchen” and the next head chef for Hell’s Kitchen Foxwoods Resort Casino.Â
“This has been the journey of a lifetime. This has been the hardest and the most joyful thing that I have ever done,” Parker said.
“The state of Nevada should be very proud of their representative,” Ramsay told her.Â
