MILWAUKEE — Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon injured his hamstring near the end of the second quarter and did not return for the second half of Friday’s 102-100 win at the Bucks.
Denver coach David Adelman said after the game that Gordon was optimistic his hamstring injury was not as bad as the one earlier this season, which kept him sidelined for more than a month, but the team would not know for sure until he underwent further testing.
Gordon scored 13 points on 4-of-9 shooting with six rebounds and three assists in the first half and was playing on the second night of a back-to-back. He logged 33 minutes on Thursday in D.C.
The Nuggets were already missing several key rotation players Friday, including Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, Christian Braun, Cam Johnson, Peyton Watson and Jonas Valanciunas before Gordon left the game as well.
The team announced right after halftime that Gordon was questionable to return. Denver outscored Milwaukee 30-21 in the third quarter to open up a 15-point advantage by the end of the period, and Gordon remained on the sideline.
