Former UFC interim lightweight champion Justin Gaethje and popular contender Paddy Pimblett collide for the interim lightweight belt in the night’s five-round main event, while former bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley takes on Sean Yadong in the co-headliner of a show that kicks off UFC’s new $7.7 billion broadcast deal with Paramount.

Gaethje (26-5) is also a one-time winner of the UFC’s ceremonial BMF title. Widely regarded as one of the greatest all-action fighters to ever lace up a pair of four-ounce gloves, “The Highlight” has accrued the most post-fight bonuses-per-bout in UFC history, racking up 14 bonuses across 14 appearances since debuting in 2017. At age 37, Gaethje rides into Saturday’s card having won three of his past four bouts — and finds himself staring down the barrel of his likely final opportunity to earn another shot at undisputed UFC gold.

Pimblett (19-5) steps into the biggest opportunity of his own MMA career after kicking off his Octagon career with seven consecutive wins. A polarizing Liverpudlian with star power uncommon in today’s UFC, the 31-year-old “Baddy” punctuated his run to contendership with a trio of big wins over veteran names, Tony Ferguson, King Green and most recently Michael Chandler.

In the evening’s co-main event, former champ O’Malley (18-3, 1 NC) and Chinese contender Song (22-8-1, 1 NC) meet with a potential bantamweight title shot on the line.
