The ACT Brumbies enter the 2026 Super Rugby Pacific season based in Canberra, with GIO Stadium continuing to serve as their home venue. With a listed capacity of 25,011, the stadium remains a consistent setting for the club’s home fixtures and a central part of the Brumbies’ identity. 

The franchise is one of the most successful in Australian Super Rugby history, with championship titles in 2001, 2004 and 2020 during the Super Rugby AU competition.

During the 2025 Super Rugby Pacific season, the Brumbies again established themselves as one of the competition’s most reliable performers. Across 14 matches, they compiled a 9–5 record and finished with 44 points, placing third in the final standings. 

That regular-season performance earned the Brumbies a place deep into the postseason, where their campaign ended as losing semifinalists.

As the 2026 season approaches, the Brumbies are led on the field by captain Allan Alaalatoa and continue under the guidance of head coach Stephen Larkham. 

With a full schedule ahead that features both domestic rivals and cross-competition matchups, the Brumbies will look to build on their 2025 foundation and remain a consistent presence near the top of the Super Rugby Pacific table.

Stephen Larkham is the head coach of the ACT Brumbies, leading the Canberra-based side into the 2026 Super Rugby Pacific season. Larkham made 112 appearances from 1996-2007 with the Brumbies and tallied 102 caps for the Wallabies.

The 30th season of Super Rugby begins with Round 1 on Feb. 13 with the first game being in Dunedin between the Highlanders and Crusaders at 1:05 a.m. ET.
