Polymarket has become an official partner of Major League Soccer as the prediction market continues to ramp up its presence in the US.

The deal follows Polymarket’s agreement with the NHL, providing it with proprietary data and rights for the ice hockey league.
In the partnership with the MLS football league – and specifically MLS’ commercial arm, Soccer United Marketing – Polymarket has become the “official and exclusive” prediction market partner of MLS, MLS All-Star Game, MLS Cup presented by Audi and Leagues Cup.
Polymarket said it will develop fan experiences across MLS digital platforms with a focus on “enhancing the live match experience and second-screen engagement for fans.”
The partnership incudes safeguards for sporting integrity, the company added.
Polymarket CEO and founder Shayne Coplan said the prediction market will give fans a “more interactive, data-driven way to experience the game and engage with the world’s most popular sport.”
“Partnering with Polymarket allows us to integrate prediction markets as a new fan engagement format and position MLS as an early leader among global soccer properties,” added MLS’ deputy commissioner and president of Soccer United Marketing, Gary Stevenson.
The MLS season gets underway on February 21, with the World Cup in North America set to add to the region’s key focus on football this year.
