CHAZ Mostert will go head-to-head with former Supercars teammate Nick Percat as team owners in the Toyota 86 arena this year.

It comes as Mostert’s Method Motorsport expands for its first full season in the Scholarship Series – i.e. the feeder category to the TGRA GR Cup.

Method has quickly made its mark in Australian motorsport, clinching each of the first two Silver Cup titles in GT4 Australia.

The team is continuing in GT4, but has made its first move for 2026 by naming James Cittolin and Buster Bailey as its inaugural Scholarship Series drivers.

“Being involved with James and Buster over the last 12 months, they’re two great young guys and it’s very exciting to be part of their journey with Method Motorsport – and also for myself personally,” said team co-owner and 2025 Supercars champion Mostert.

“I can’t wait to get the year started and watch these guys punching against some of the best young talent we have in the country, in what is an amazing category as well.

“I can’t wait to get started.”

Bailey said: “I’m extremely excited to see how the year unfolds.

“I’ve got high expectations, a strong belief in the team, and I’m fully committed to the work ahead.

“The focus is on consistency, growth, and performance, with one clear objective, taking Method Motorsport to the top.”

Added Cittolin: “I’m excited to be part of Method Motorsport’s 86 program this year, working alongside Chaz Mostert, and I’m looking forward to the season ahead.”

The 2026 Scholarship Series will open at Winton in March.

Mostert, who placed second-in-class in last weekend’s Daytona 24, will race for Toyota’s Supercars homologation team Walkinshaw TWG Racing this year.
