SBS has picked up sweeping UK / US period epic King & Conqueror.

Emily Beecham plays Edith Swan-neck and Clémence Poésy stars as Matilda, their respective wives. Eddie Marsan is King Edward.

The series is created by Michael Robert Johnson, directed by Baltasar Kormákur, Erik Leijonborg and Bálint Szentgyörgyi.

BBC has the UK rights while Prime Video has taken it for the U.S. and HBO Max in the Nordics, Iberia, Southeast Asia, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
