A number of busy roads across Geelong, the Surf Coast and the Bellarine will shut down over the weekend as elite cyclists from all over the world hit our streets for the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race.

The Women’s race will take over our region on Saturday 31 January before the Men’s on on 1 February, with estimated closure times as follows:

Victoria Police will manage rolling road closures, with delays of 15-20 minutes expected.

Organisers have said all towns will remain open and accessible, including Barwon Heads, Ocean Grove, Torquay and Moriac, with the exception of when the race passes through for 15–20 minutes.

Latrobe Terrace will remain open in Geelong at all times to help traffic flow.
