Flags decorate the Congress Center where the Annual Meeting of the World Economy Forum took place in Davos, Switzerland.
Every January, as CEOs, presidents and billionaires, and many industry big shots reach the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos – a much celebrated platform for activists, global leaders and business leaders – to debate climate change, wars and the future of capitalism, there’s another economy that quietly shifts into high gear – escort services – business that offers paid companionship to clients, escorts could be both men and women who are paid to spend time with people. And it is not new, and it is not unique to Switzerland. From Davos to The Hague, from G7 summits to major climate conferences, large global gatherings of power and money tend to bring a predictable side effect: a sharp spike in demand for escort and paid-dating services. And this year’s WEF was no different, reportedly.
