The Octagon returns to Sydney for tonight’s UFC 325 event, a 13-bout fight card headlined by Alex Volkanovski vs. Diego Lopes 2.

Volkanovski (27-4 MMA) will be returning to action for the first time since reclaiming the promotion‘s featherweight title with a unanimous decision win over Lopes at last April’s UFC 314 event in Miami. That victory snapped a two-fight losing skid for ‘The Great’, as Volk had previously suffered back-to-back knockout losses at the hands of Ilia Topuria and Islam Makhachev respectively.

Meanwhile, Diego Lopes (27-7 MMA) was most previously seen in action this past September, where he scored a second-round TKO victory over Jean Silva (see that here). The Brazilian has gone 6-1 over his past seven Octagon appearances overall, with his lone loss in that time coming against Alex Volkanovski.

UFC 325 is co-headlined by a highly anticipated lightweight bout featuring Dan Hooker taking on Benoit Saint Denis.

Hooker (24-13 MMA) will enter tonight’s contest looking to rebound, this after suffering a one-sided submission loss to Arman Tsarukyan in his most recent Octagon appearance this past November. Prior to that setback, ‘The Hangman’ had put together a three-fight win streak, which included victories over Jalin Turner and Mateusz Gamrot.

Meanwhile, Benoit Saint Denis (16-3 MMA) will enter tonight’s contest sporting a three-fight winning streak, his most recent triumph being a 16-second knockout victory over Beneil Dariush this past November at UFC 322. ‘God of War’ has earned finishes in all three of his most recent wins.

Also featured on tonight’s UFC 325 main card lineup is another key lightweight matchup pitting Rafael Fiziev against Mauricio Ruffy.

Fiziev (13-4 MMA) will be returning to action for the first time since June of last year, where he scored a decision win over Ignacio Bahamondes. Prior to that triumph, ‘Ataman’ was on a three-fight losing skid, this after dropping fights to Mateusz Gamrot and Justin Gaethje (x2) respectively.

Meanwhile, Mauricio Ruffy (12-2 MMA) will enter the bout looking to rebound, this after suffering a submission loss to Benoit Saint Denis in his most recent Octagon appearance this past September. Prior to that setback, Ruffy had gone 3-0 under the UFC banner, this while scoring knockout wins over King Green and Jamie Mullarkey.

If that wasn’t enough to get you interested, the UFC 325 main card also features a heavyweight contest between Tai Tuivasa and Tallison Teixeira.

Tuivasa (14-8 MMA) will be looking to snap a five-fight losing skid when he steps foot in the Octagon this evening. ‘Bam Bam’ has not tasted victory since UFC 271 in February of 2022, where he knocked out Derrick Lewis.

Meanwhile, Tallison Teixeira (8-1 MMA) will also be looking to rebound tonight in Sydney, this after suffering his first career loss by way of TKO to Derrick Lewis this past July. Prior to that setback, ‘Xicao’ was coming off a TKO victory over Justin Tafa.
