CFG are also currently advertising on TGG for a Football Transactions Manager, who will lead and deliver transactions across CFG clubs, “managing the full lifecycle from strategy through to completion.”

Wright, who has worked for CFG for five years, will now oversee scouting for the group clubs, which are Manchester City, Girona, Lommel, Troyes, Palermo, New York City, Montevideo City, Bahia, Melbourne City, Yokohama and Shenzhen Peng City.

Hood will oversee scouting for the partner clubs, Club Bolívar, İstanbul Başakşehir and Al Jazira.

Wright joined CFG in March 2021 as a Football Intelligence Analyst. He went on to become Head of Analytics Solutions, leading the function within the Football Intelligence department, which is headed up by Brian Prestidge.

As Head of Scouting, Wright will oversee and align scouting across group clubs; facilitate the sharing of scouting methodology, talent discussions, squad planing and transfer activity; and link the centralised Global Football department with the individual club scouting departments.

Hood is another long-serving member of CFG staff, having been with the Group for more than a decade. He started working in the content and media department while working part-time as a scout.

He then moved into scouting full time, as Scouting Manager for Asia and then Senior Scouting Services Manager.

His new role involves leading the senior talent function for Partner Clubs through “extensive market surveillance and compilation of comprehensive and insightful player assessment reporting strategies in designated markets.”

Hood will liaise with key personnel at the partner clubs – including Head Coaches, Sporting Directors and CEOs – to plan and strategise upcoming transfer windows.
