At the cliff house, Taylor pauses work to stand by the patio door and think about her and Deacon expressing their love and kissing. At Il Giardino, Deacon is thinking about it too. He sneaks in a phone call to her, “I need to see you.”
Taylor tells Deacon it’s not to late to change his mind given the complications with Sheila. Deacon knows ending his marriage will be painful, but it’s time. He wants a relationship with his kids and to be invited to family events. He wants a woman he can be proud of… he has to break it off. They disconnect as Sheila appears.
At the cliff house, Steffy comes in and Taylor tells her daughter something happened. “Something you need to know.” She reveals she had a late-night session with Deacon and everything blew up. Taylor can’t see him as a patient anymore because they have feelings for one another. “We don’t want to spend our lives apart.”
Steffy, unsurprisingly, goes ballistic on her mother. She’s endangering herself and the grandchildren. “This cannot happen!”
Taylor reminds Steffy that she and Finn were able to set boundaries with Sheila. Steffy rails that he cut out his Birth Mother™ to keep their family safe. Leaning in, she intones, “You. You will no longer associate with Deacon. Or you’re going to lose me and our family.” Taylor’s horror-stricken.
At Il Giardino, Deacon approaches Sheila as she chops the heads off fish with a huge cleaver. He tells her he’s been thinking about them and their relationship. They’ve always been open with each other. Sheila gushes about how much better it’s been since his therapy… she owes so much of her happiness to Taylor. With that, she swings the cleaver again.

Deacon can’t get a word in edgewise as Sheila gushes about Taylor and what a great partner Deacon has been for her. He remarks that she’s a different person now and wouldn’t go back to her old ways if he wasn’t around. Sheila, tuning in to the vibe, asks, “What’s going on?”
The Dylan Saga
At Forrester, Electra gushes to Ivy about the trip to San Francisco. She guesses her aunt spent most of the night in bed. Ivy flashes back to ordering Dylan out of town. Ivy tells Electra she’s earned a fun life, and it should be a lot easier now. “I would do anything in my power to make sure you get all the happiness you deserve.”

At the beach house, Will and Dylan assure Finn that they were happy to watch Hayes, who rushes over to hug his summer art school teacher. Dylan looks stressed, but kneels to tell the boy he’s amazing. “Goodbye, Hayes.”
After Finn and Hayes are gone, Will announces he’s going to see Electra. He’ll see Dylan later. “You’re a good person, Dylan. Electra’s got a good friend in you.” Once alone, Dylan cries.
Will brings Electra flowers to Forrester and tells her how much he missed her. They kiss. He goes on about watching Hayes. The kid has a crush on Dylan and clearly knows that she’s good and safe. Electra narrows her eyes.
In her apartment, Dylan counts her money and sighs. Ivy walks in and notes, “Still here.” Dylan says Finn just picked up Hayes. Ivy warns her not to back out, but Dylan protests that she can’t just disappear. What Ivy thinks she saw… Ivy interrupts. She’s very clear on what she saw… she showered in front of Will with her big googly eyes. She broke the rules and now she has to pay the price.
As Dylan maintains her innocence, Ivy rehashes why her posing and pouting her lips with her big, sensuous (not googly this time!) eyes was inappropriate.
The Final Scenes
Ivy warns Dylan if she tells Electra what happened, she’ll lose her friend and her reputation. “You’re leaving L.A. today.” Electra calls Dylan and says Will is there with her. They called to thank her for helping out.

Dylan hedges that she has some good news. Electra asks her to come to the office and tell them. Ivy instructs Dylan to tell her she’s leaving and never coming back. “Go, Dylan. And never return.”
At Il Giardino, Deacon rambles on about the timing of them getting together… it was the right thing at the right time. He appreciates her. Sheila asks, “What do you really want to tell me, Deacon?”
At the cliff house, Steffy rails that Sheila is an unpredictable, violent criminal. She’s lighting a match on a keg of dynamite. Deacon is her one true love. If he leaves her, she’ll go after all of them. “That can’t happen, mom. It can’t!”

Continuing, Steffy levels, “I will cut you out of our family if you get involved with Deacon.” Taylor gasps, “No.” Steffy will do it. She’s fighting for their family. “If you get involved with Deacon, you’re going to lose me and your grandchildren.”
