Minnesota Vikings linebacker Jonathan Greenard saw his career year rewarded with a spot among the NFL’s Top 100 players heading into the 2025 season, while Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill experiencing a precipitous drop.
Greenard cracked the list at No. 48, with Hill one spot ahead after leading the 2024 ranking.

The Vikings made a big investment in Greenard, signing him to a four-year, $76 million contract last offseason. He more than paid that back by finishing with 12 sacks, 18 tackles for loss and four forced fumbles. Those numbers put him into the top five of all three categories.
The 28-year-old was a Pro Bowler for the first time and even garnered some Defensive Player of the Year votes.
Greenard warranted honorable mention when ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler ranked the best edge-rushers in the league.
“Elite motor with a really good rush,” one NFC executive told Fowler. “One of the most productive guys the last two years.”
Another double-digit sack campaign could follow in 2025 for Greenard thanks to the depth along Minnesota’s front seven. Fellow linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel likewise had a big first year with the Vikings, while they bolstered their defensive line by signing Jonathan Allen and Javon Hargrave.
Few teams boast a more imposing pass-rushing unit.
When it comes to Hill, the jury is out somewhat as to his continued value.
The eight-time Pro Bowler is coming off his worst season since becoming a full-time starter in 2017. He caught 81 passes for 959 yards and six touchdowns. His 56.4 yards per game were a steep drop from 2022 and 2023, when he averaged more than 100 yards across each contest.
Some of those numbers were attributable to the fact Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa missed six games through injury, but it doesn’t fully explain his relatively lackluster production.
Hill’s reputation among his peers may have suffered a bit, too, after he seemingly subbed himself out of a Week 18 loss to the New York Jets and then made cryptic comments after the game about his future in Miami.
The decorated pass-catcher said this offseason there’s a level of trust within the locker room he needed to rebuild.
When he’s slated for free agency in 2027, Hill certainly has a strong incentive to rebound this year as he tries to secure one more big payday.
