NEW ORLEANS
– The New Orleans Privateers women’s basketball schedule has been announced ahead of the 2025-26 season. The 30-game schedule includes a home game against LSU, three in-state opponents in non-conference play and a 22-game Southland slate that begins the day before Thanksgiving.
Â
Ticketing information will be available soon.
Before the regular season tips off, the Privateers will play an exhibition at the Lakefront Arena against LSU-Eunice on Oct. 29.
Â
The Privateers begin their regular season in the Sooner State with road contests against Oklahoma State and Tulsa on Nov. 3 and 5. Head Coach Trelanne Powell‘s first game on the sidelines with the Privateers was against Oklahoma State in 2023.
Â
Following will be a first ever trip to The Pit when the Privateers battle New Mexico on Nov. 12.
Â
The first two home games will be on Nov. 18 and 26. New Orleans will play an exhibition against Loyola followed by a home non-conference battle against Jacksonville State, whom the Privateers will play for the seventh time since 2013.
Â
New Orleans opens conference play on Nov. 26 with a home date against HCU before going back to non-conference opponents with a road game at South Florida to complete the first month of the season.
Â
The Privateers will then play LSU for the 29th time in program history when they match up on Dec. 7 at Lakefront Arena. It will be the first time the Privateers host the Tigers in women’s basketball since 2009.
Â
A week later, the Privateers will make the short trip to Tulane to take on the Green Wave, which closes out non-conference play on Dec. 14.
Â
The second of the 22-game Southland schedule will be the last before the holiday break when the Privateers host UIW on Dec. 18. An 11-day gap from that game extends to a south Texas road trip to UTRGV and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi to close out the calendar year.
Â
Four of the first five games for the Privateers in January will be at the Lakefront Arena. A stretch of five road games in the last seven for New Orleans closes out the regular season. Their last home game will be on Feb. 28 against McNeese while the regular season finale will take place at Northwestern State on Mar. 3.
Â
It all leads up to the Southland Tournament which spans from Mar. 9-12 at the Legacy Center in Lake Charles, La.
