Players to Watch
USC Upstate: Sophomore Guard, Carmelo Adkins is coming off his fourth 20+ point performance continuing to be a major part of the offense averaging 13.3 points per game while shooting 40 percent from the field, 36 percent from beyond the arc and 80 percent from the charity stripe. Continuing to elevate his three-level scoring, Adkins has helped with scoring load as he scored in double figures through the last four matchups (15, 18, 12, 20). Adkins has shown that he can play the sixth man role or be focal point in the scoring load while contributing on the defensive end averaging one steal a game and contributing 4.8 rebounds a game. In conference play, Adkins has provided the Spartans a spark of life with 13.7 points a game while averaging 33.6 minutes a game. Carmelo Adkins will look to add the first win over High Point during the Marty Richter era.
High Point: Graduate Forward, Terry Anderson leads the Panthers averaging 15.1 points per game while shooting 59 percent from the field and 33 percent from beyond the arc. Anderson added a double-double performance of 22 points and 12 rebounds in the January 17, 2026, matchup against Upstate. Anderson can control the game with his three-level scoring and will to crash the boards on the offensive end, creating second chance opportunities for the Panthers. As High Point looks for a season sweep, Anderson will be a player to watch through 40 minutes of play.
