This Thursday, February 12, the province of Entre Ríos marks a milestone in its sports history with the official launch of Capibaras XV. The presentation ceremony will take place at 7:00 p.m. at Casa Mesopotamia, located at Av. José Manuel Estrada 1862, Paraná. This event not only represents the formal debut of the franchise, but also marks the starting point of an ambitious project aimed at strengthening the development of regional rugby under its own identity and a strong competitive commitment.

The event will feature the presentation of the players and coaching staff, accompanied by prominent figures from local rugby as well as municipal and provincial authorities. The project arises from a strategic synergy between the Government of Entre Ríos, the Municipality of Paraná, the Unión Entrerriana de Rugby (UER), and the private sector. The main objective of this integration is to establish Capibaras XV as a space for professional and athletic growth, involving the community and organizations that support the advancement of sports in the region.

With no time to rest after its launch, the coastal franchise will immediately focus on its physical and technical preparation. As part of their fine-tuning before their debut in the official Sudamérica Rugby competition, the team will face a high-caliber challenge: a joint training session with the national U20 team, Los Pumitas. This commitment will serve as the last major test to fine-tune strategic details and measure the squad’s level against an opponent of international standing.

The match against the Argentine youth team is scheduled for this Friday the 13th at 7:00 p.m., at the Santa Fe Rugby Club facilities in Sauce Viejo. The occasion will have double significance for the Santa Fe institution, as it will take advantage of the visit from Capibaras XV and Los Pumitas to officially inaugurate the new lighting system on its main field. It will undoubtedly be a momentous day that will unite the two provinces in a great sporting celebration.
