Billionaire publican Arthur Laundy has become the latest high-profile figure to throw his money into a fund dedicated to changing the fortunes of rugby union.

The Rugby Future Fund is an investment vehicle designed to provide the sport with capital to invest in things such as grassroots participation. It has a $100 million target from investors and contributes 1 per cent of its gross assets to the Australian Rugby Foundation, a body that invests in women’s rugby, community and high performance.
