NOTES

Kent State opened the 2025–26 season with a strong fall, posting four top-three finishes and a team title in its first four events. The Golden Flashes placed eighth in a 16-team field at their spring opener, the UCF Challenge. In the fall finale at the Landfall Tradition, Kent State finished 11th among 18 teams in a field that included 12 other top-50 programs. The Flashes’ team title at the Wolverine Invitational in September — against nine power-conference opponents — marked the program’s first win in a non-MAC Championship event since the Sunflower Invitational (Oct. 2022).
Veronika Kedronová, the No. 14-ranked golfer nationally, recorded another top-20 finish with a 17th-place showing at the UCF Challenge. She finished even-par for the tournament after gaining three strokes in the final round. Kedronová has not finished outside the top 20 in a regular-season event since the Briars Creek Invitational (March 2025) and returns to Sarasota after a top-10 finish at this event last season.
Leon Takagi has finished in the top 11 in four of Kent State’s six tournaments this season. The lone senior on the roster has posted six rounds of par or better — including two rounds in the 60s — through 17 rounds played. Takagi opened the season with three consecutive top-five finishes before tying for 11th at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational.
Petra Babicová opened the spring with a 71 in Round 1 at the UCF Challenge and produced her best finish of the season, tying for 24th at 1-over-par. In her Kent State career, Babicová has recorded a top-five finish, a top-10 finish and two top-20 finishes.
Isabella Goyette looks to regain the momentum that produced back-to-back top-10 finishes late in the fall. At the UCF Challenge, Goyette posted a top-30 finish at 2-over-par, tying Takagi for third-best on the team.
Gracie Larsen, the reigning Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year, looks to bounce back after a 75th-place finish at the UCF Challenge. Two tournaments prior, Larsen placed fifth at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational.
