A T20 cricket match was played between two local clubs on Sunday at the Kilmore Cricket Club and it was followed by an afternoon fundraiser.
The Kilmore Cricket Club invites the Football Club to play them on an annual basis for a bit of fun.
The clubs delegates met on the pitch at noon, and the children were not forgotten as face painting and a jumping castle were part of the free entertainment.
A spectator said: “A lot of the [Kilmore Cricket Club] seniors stood back and let the young kids do it. And they did it quite convincingly.”
Darcy McNicholas was unbeaten on 50 runs and Stuart Partridge made a whirlwind 44.
Josh Squire captained the cricket side and Leigh Irons for the Kilmore Football Club said: “It’s the first time I have played; they destroyed us.”
Following a win on the pitch by 70 runs, the club side hosted the Silver Circle Club draw, a chance to turn $25 into $1000.
It’s one of the clubs major fundraisers and the atmosphere on Sunday was electric as from 3pm onwards OKRFM radio personality and club member, Matt Arnott called the reverse draw.
Its top five lucky winners in 2026 also saw Sam MacBean claim second prize with $300, Brent Sullivan $100, and Reece Miles and Glenn Boyd won $50 each.
