LOS ANGELES – Senior Lauren Betts of UCLA Women’s Basketball has been selected the Student-Athlete of the Week presented by La Victoria for athletic competitions held between Feb. 10-16.
 
The senior center averaged 19.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game in UCLA’s 2-0 week. She scored 22 points on 10-of-14 shooting at No. 13 Michigan State on Wednesday; the reigning defensive player of the year also added seven rebounds, five assists and two blocks to her stat line against the Spartans. The center secured her league-leading 10th double-double in the first half against Indiana on Feb. 15 (12 PTS, 10 REB at the break). Betts finished with 16 points, 14 rebounds, three assists and a block in the wire-to-wire win. She more than doubled Indiana’s offensive rebounding total (L. Betts: 9; Indiana: 4). The Bruins remain undefeated in Big Ten play (15-0) in pursuit of UCLA women’s basketball’s first-ever outright regular season conference championship.
 
Betts secures her 13th-career UCLA student-athlete of the week award.
