SUPERCARS’ Sydney night test has been brought to a brief halt by rogue kangaroos.
Just four days on from Christopher Mies’ horrific collision with a kangaroo in the early stages of the Bathurst 12 Hour, four roos made their way into the Sydney Motorsport Park arena.
Footage has emerged of the quartet hopping along in the vicinity of Turn 4 as Cam Waters’ Monster Mustang cautiously approaches.
Amusingly, Mies has already responded to a Tickford Racing post on the matter: “And I thought I made it clear to them to not show up at a race track anymore”.
The session was halted for approximately 10 minutes; green flag running resumed moments before 8:30pm AEDT.
It’s the second red flag interruption to the Thursday night test, following a scheduled inspection of the Turn 8 track surface.
Waters sits atop the timesheets heading into the final hour, with Thomas Randle completing a Tickford 1-2.
