Mundo Deportivo earlier reported that Barcelona had reached a pre-agreement with Francisco, while noting that the deal had not yet been finalized.
Francisco reacted to the reports on Instagram, calling them “fake news.”
Earlier, Francisco’s agent, Misko Raznatovic, also responded to Encestando reports about the French guard’s two-year agreement with Barcelona, calling the information false.
“Never ending story with false infos, started with Obst – Dubai, and continued with Navarro- Bayern………Lets see whats the next big transfer by enimaginando,” Raznatovic wrote on X.
This season, the 28-year-old French guard has blossomed into one of the EuroLeague’s best guards, claiming MVP of October honors and helping Zalgiris sit in the top 10 of the league standings.
In roughly 26 minutes per game this season, Francisco has averaged 16.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 6.5 assists, shooting 40.6% from three-point range and 53.2% from two-point range.
Francisco still has a one-year left on his contract with Zalgiris, although he has a buy-out option in his contract this summer.
