Centralia and North Callaway are both in position for a state trophy after Day 1.

At the Class 1 boys state wrestling tournament at Mizzou Arena in Columbia. Centralia leads the field with 63 points — ahead of Marceline’s 57.5 points — and North Callaway is tied with Warsaw for fourth place with 47 points. 

For Centralia, Charlie Robinson (138), Gradon Hedberg (120), Rex Bryson (175) and Waylon Adkisson (113) are in the semifinals at 8 a.m. Thursday while Louis Suddarth (165) and Marshall Kable (285) are in third-round wrestlebacks at 8 a.m. Thursday.

For North Callaway, Collin Moore (165), Gunnar Wenneker (285), Hunter Long (215) and Kellen Long (157) are in the semifinals Thursday while Bryson Twillman (106) and Wyatt Haden (175) are in third-round wrestlebacks Thursday.

For Missouri Military Academy, Deonte Kerns (150) and Mason Quarles (157) advanced to third-round wrestlebacks Thursday.
