Buducnost VOLI Podgorica and Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem have each reinforced their frontcourt depth with experienced big men ahead of the new season.

Montenegrin side Buducnost signed James Thompson (30, 2.08m), a rebounding specialist with international experience.

The American center arrives after strong stints with Jiangsu Dragons in China (15.7 ppg, 10.8 rpg) and Leones de Ponce in Puerto Rico (9.2 ppg, 7.2 rpg). A former standout at Eastern Michigan University, Thompson brings toughness and efficient scoring around the rim.

Meanwhile, Hapoel Jerusalem has added Dmytro Skapintsev (27, 2.16m) on a one-year deal with an option for a second.

The Ukrainian big man joins from the NBA G League, where he averaged 10 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks last season. Skapintsev, who also featured at EuroBasket 2022, is expected to provide rim protection and smart interior play, according to head coach Yonatan Alon.
