Lewis Hamilton is starting to come under pressure as he continues to struggle to find his groove at Ferrari.

The seven-time champion has been far from discovering his best form with the Scuderia, and needs to do some work over the summer break if he wants to get back on track in the second half of the Formula 1 season.

Sitting a distant sixth in the drivers’ championship is not where he wants to be, and achieving some silverware soon will be on his mind.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting Hamilton’s first podium as a Ferrari driver, but recent upgrades appear to have taken him further away from it.

‘90%’ of insiders disagreed with signing Hamilton, and although there was a lot of excitement over his move, the buzz has since dipped.

Following a difficult race at the Hungarian Grand Prix, Hamilton had a ‘very different’ reaction to Leclerc’s performance and was happy for his teammate’s weekend.

Ferrari have already suffered one ‘complete failure’ as they prepare their car for 2026, with their recent rear suspension upgrade having failed to have much of an effect on the SF25.

It’s something that Hamilton must focus on maximising when the sport returns for the Dutch Grand Prix at the end of August.

If he can extract the extra performance and find a better setup for his car, he stands a chance of being much closer to Leclerc in qualifying and on a Sunday.

His one-lap pace has taken a hit recently, exiting Q2 at each of the last two races. It has now been 747 days since he last claimed a pole position – when he did so in Hungary in 2023.

It marks the longest streak in his career without a pole position, and finding that form again would see him sit in a far better position to attack races from.

Hamilton refuses to blame Ferrari for his ‘difficult times’ and has been putting extra pressure on himself to improve. He knows that time is ticking on his career.

Sebastian Vettel ‘kept quiet’ about issue hampering Lewis Hamilton in 2025

Uncharacteristically, Hamilton has made some errors this season, with spins and mistakes marring his progress at some races.

It’s something that happened to Sebastian Vettel towards the back end of his Ferrari term, and there may be a good reason for that.

Vettel ‘kept quiet’ about an issue hurting Hamilton with rear instability from their car, which makes getting on the power early difficult.

It seems like a problem that lies within their car concept, rather than a driver-specific issue. Hamilton will be hoping that it disappears for 2026.
