The Israeli league has been temporarily suspended due to safety concerns in the country.

The Israeli League regular season has been temporarily suspended.

The decision was made due to escalating regional security concerns amid rising tensions between Israel and Iran.

Official Israeli League statement:

“The Winner League is operating in accordance with Home Front Command guidelines and is working to implement, based on the situation on the ground, the plans that were prepared in advance for the current circumstances.

The league remains in continuous contact with the clubs, security authorities, and the Ministry of Culture and Sport, and is taking all necessary adjustments and measures to ensure optimal readiness for the resumption of activities at a date determined by the relevant authorities.

The league’s guiding principle is to safeguard the security of all players and team personnel and to provide a safe and protected environment for them — particularly for foreign players. As time passes and the situation becomes clearer, more precise and well-informed decisions will be made.

We will continue to provide updates in accordance with further developments.”

According to earlier reports, foreign players in the Israeli league have already been instructed to leave the country.

Also, as a result of the security risks, according to Noa Poplinger od Sport5, the remaining EuroLeague games involving Israeli teams are expected to be played abroad, with some dates already confirmed by the EuroLeague.
