Facing the Sacramento Kings, Luka Doncic and the Lakers saw the special support of Novak Djokovic. The tennis superstar was on the courtside of the Crypto.com Arena, as they went on to pick up a dominant 128-104 win.
Right after the game, Djokovic shared a moment with both Doncic and LeBron James. The Serbian sensation also posed for a picture with the two Lakers stars.
“I mean, definitely with Novak, for me, he’s the GOAT. Just for him being here watching me is just unbelievable. I talked to him and will probably see him after,” Doncic told reporters after a brilliant 28-point performance to lead the Lakers’ victory.Â
“I’m really excited he’s here.”
Ahead of the upcoming Indian Wells Open, Djokovic has taken a brief stop to come and enjoy watching Doncic and the Lakers.Â
He attended several memorable Lakers games in the past. Djokovic showed up in one of the final games of the late great Kobe Bryant during the 2015-16 season, and was present when James hit the historic 40,000-point NBA scoring milestone two years ago.
The all-time great is vying to clinch a record-breaking sixth title in the tournament, and his first victory in California since 2016.
As for Doncic and the Lakers, the work continues to win this year’s NBA title. Riding a two-game win streak, they will face the New Orleans Pelicans next on Tuesday.
