Storm Team: 1. Sualauvi Faalogo 2. William Warbrick 3. Jack Howarth 4. Moses Leo 5. Nick Meaney 6. Cameron Munster 7. Jahrome Hughes 8. Stefano Utoikamanu 9. Harry Grant 10. Josh King 11. Joe Chan 12. Ativalu Lisati 13. Alec MacDonald 14. Tyran Wishart 15. Cooper Clarke 16. Tui Kamikamica 17. Davvy Moale 18. Preston Conn 19. Siulagi Tuimalatu-Brown 20. Lazarus Vaalepu 21. Angus Hinchey 22. Trent Toelau
Analysis: Melbourne begin the season following one of their most significant player turnovers in years, with the departures of Ryan Papenhuyzen, Nelson Asofa-Solomona, Grant Anderson and Eliesa Kotoa. Sualauvi Faalogo parachutes into the No. 1 jersey, and in the absence of Xavier Coates (Achilles), Moses Leo slots into the backline in the centres, which sees Nick Meaney shuffle one position out to the wing. With Eli Katoa, Shawn Blore (ankle) and Trent Loeiro (suspended) all out, Craig Bellamy has also been forced to name a new-look forward pack. Joe Chan, Ativalu Lisati and Alec MacDonald are the trio called upon to start, while both Cooper Clarke and Preston Conn have been named to make their NRL debuts.
Eels Team: 1. Isaiah Iongi 2. Bailey Simonsson 3. Viliami Penisini 4. Brian Kelly 5. Sean Russell 6. Jonah Pezet 7. Mitchell Moses 8. J’maine Hopgood 9. Ryley Smith 10. Junior Paulo 11. Jack Williams 12. Kitione Kautoga 13. Jack de Belin 14. Dylan Walker 15. Sam Tuivaiti 16. Matt Doorey 17. Tallyn Da Silva 18. Kelma Tuilagi 19. Joash Papali’i 20. Jordan Samrani 21. Charlie Guymer 22. Teancum Brown
Analysis: The Eels too have had their share of change over the break, following the fallout of the Zac Lomax saga that ran up until this week. Jack De Belin debuts for the club at lock, while Jonah Pezet steps in to fill Dylan Brown’s sizeable shoes at five-eighth. Elsewhere, Sean Russell steps in on the wing for the injured Josh Addo-Carr, who suffered a thumb injury. Titans recruit Brian Kelly has also been named in the centres.

Analysis: It’s the sight Roosters fans have been waiting to see. Daly Cherry-Evans and Sam Walker have been named in the No.6 and No.7 jerseys ahead of their first game as an NRL halves pairing. In the absence of Reece Robson due to a thumb injury, Benaiah Ioelu gets the nod at hooker. Ben Hunt has been named in the No.14 jersey, with Cory Paix winning the hooker spot as he did in the World Club Challenge.
Panthers Team:1. Dylan Edwards 2. Paul Alamoti 3. Izack Tago 4. Casey McLean 5. Brian To’o 6. Blaize Talagi 7. Nathan Cleary 8. Moses Leota 9. Mitch Kenny 10. Lindsay Smith 11. Scott Sorensen 12. Analysis: Luke Garner has been picked to be the man to replace Liam Martin, who has been sidelined due to a calf injury. That’s the only change to the Panthers run-on side that lost to the Broncos. On the bench, a host of new faces have been included. Jack Cogger, who landed back at the foot of the mountain after a stint at the Knights, has been named in the No.14. Warriors recruits Kalani Going and Freddy Lussick have also been named on the pine, with Tom Jenkins named as the backline utility on the bench.

Analysis: Sione Katoa will take the field despite a groin concern, meaning Craig Fitzgibbon can wheel out a near-full strength squad. He is missing only Ronaldo Mulitalo (ACL) and Teig Wilton (shoulder) with Sam Stonestreet and Billy Burns filling their wing and back row spots respectively. Siosifa Talakai, Toby Rudolf, Oregon Kaufusi and Braden Uele with Hohepa Puru make up the bench while Chris Veaila has also been named on the pine. Rookie coach Josh Hannay has also handed Siale Faeamani, who he recruited from the Panthers, his NRL debut. Max Feagai joins him in the centres in a new-look backline, while Arama Hau has been given the nod to start in the back row. PNG Test star Cooper Bai starts off the pine, alongside former Bulldogs utility Kurtis Morrin and the middle duo of Tuki Simpkins and Klese Haas. Manly Sea Eagles vs. Canberra Raiders at 4 Pines Park, 7:35pm AEDT
Sea Eagles Team: 1. Tom Trbojevic 2. Jason Saab 3. Tolutau Koula 4. Reuben Garrick 5. Lehi Hopoate 6. Luke Brooks 7. Jamal Fogarty 8. Taniela Paseka 9. Jake Simpkin 10. Siosiua Taukeiaho 11. Blake Wilson 22. Paul Bryan
Analysis: The Manly Sea Eagles back-line will remain the same as last season bar Jamal Fogarty making his club debut in place of Daly Cherry-Evans. Haumole Olakau’atu makes his return from injury after missing the opening two trial matches and slots straight into the back-row with Ben Trbojevic. Youngster Joey Walsh and Fijian international Brandon Wakeham have both been named on the interchange bench with the former likely to be used in the contest.

Analysis: The Raiders have made a surprising selection call to open up the season with Jayden Brailey (who will make his club debut) getting the nod to play off the interchange bench in favour of rookie Owen Pattie. Meanwhile, Matt Timoko and Matty Nicholson have not been named as they continue to recover from foot and shoulder injuries and will spend the week in NSW Cup. Simi Sasagi will shift into the centres for Timoko while Daine Laurie and Jed Stuart have been named on the reserves.

SUNDAY MARCH 8
Dolphins vs South Sydney Rabbitohs at Suncorp Stadium, 4:05pm AEDT
Dolphins Team: 1. Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow 2. Jamayne Isaako 3. Jake Averillo 4. Herbie Farnworth 5. Selwyn Cobbo 6. Kodi Nikorima 7. Isaiya Katoa 8. Tom Gilbert 9. Kurt Donoghoe 10. Thomas Flegler 11. Connelly Lemuelu 12. Kulikefu Finefeuiaki 13. Morgan Knowles 14. Brad Schneider 15. Oryn Keeley 16. Felise Kaufusi 17. Trai Fuller 18. Sebastian Su’a 19. Brent Woolf 20. Lewis Symonds 21. Tevita Naufahu 22. Brian Pouniu
Analysis: While it was speculated in the pre-season that Trai Fuller may be in the No.1 jersey, Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow will keep the fullback role. Selwyn Cobbo will make his club debut and start on the wing while Jake Averillo, Jamayne Isaako and Herbie Farnworth take their respective spots in the back-line. Tom Gilbert and Thomas Flegler will headline the middle forwards. Fuller has been named as the utility off the bench and Brent Woolf has been named among the reserves after a stellar pre-season.
Rabbitohs Team: 1. Jye Gray 2. Alex Johnston 3. Latrell Mitchell 4. Jack Wighton 5. Campbell Graham 6. Cody Walker 7. Ashton Ward 8. Tevita Tatola 9. Bronson Garlick 10. Keaon Koloamatangi 11. David Fifita 12. Euan Aitken 13. Cameron Murray 14. Peter Mamouzelos 15. Tallis Duncan 16. Lachlan Hubner 17. Sean Keppie 18. Jayden Sullivan 19. Moala Graham-Taufa 20. Liam Le Blanc 21. Thomas Fletcher 22. Bayleigh Bentley-Hape
Analysis: Latrell Mitchell has officially made the transition from fullback to the centres due to the emergence of Jye Gray, as Campbell Graham pushed to the wing. With no Jamie Humphreys (suspension), the Rabbitohs have opted to name rookie Ashton Ward in the halves alongside Cody Walker, but Wayne Bennett could make a late change with Jayden Sullivan also named in the 19-man bench. Bronson Garlick has been named at dummy-half, while Euan Aitken and Tevita Tatola will also start. Peter Mamouzelos and Tallis Duncan will come off the bench and deliver that X-factor.
