Some of Taylor Swift’s fans are celebrating a former Philadelphia Eagle star’s injury this Thursday.

While at practice this afternoon, Houston Texans safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson went down while defending wide receiver John Metchie. The medical staff examined him for a leg injury before carting him off the field. According to reporters in Houston, the Super Bowl champion didn’t put weight on his injured leg.

If Gardner-Johnson is unable to play this season, that’d be a crushing blow to the Texans. They acquired him earlier this year in exchange for offensive lineman Kenyon Green and a 2026 fifth-round pick to the Eagles.

“It’s heartbreaking when you see a guy go down on the field like that and doesn’t get up quickly,” Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans said. “I’m always nervous as a head coach any time I see someone hit the ground. It’s tough to watch. We’ll evaluate him and see where he is.”

Immediately after Gardner-Johnson went down, Swift’s fan base rushed over to social media to share some thoughts.

Believe it or not, there’s bad blood between Gardner-Johnson and Swift. That’s because of the safety’s antics leading up to Super Bowl LIX.

After the Eagles defeated the Chiefs, Gardner-Johnson apparently took a jab at Travis Kelce’s relationship history.

Gardner-Johnson suggested that Kelce should’ve stayed with his ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole. He also wore a hoodie that said “Swifties can LIX my balls” during the Super Bowl parade in Philadelphia.

With all that said, Swifties are laughing at Gardner-Johnson’s misfortune this Thursday.

“Karma,” a Swiftie wrote after this injury was announced.

“LMAO KARMA,” a second fan commented.

“I dare you all say tayvoodoo is not real cause why are her opps deal with [bad] karma at the end of the day,” a third fan said.

“Prayers but karmas,” another fan wrote.

The Texans have not yet announced Gardner-Johnson’s status for the 2025 season.

We’re hoping the outspoken defensive back avoided a season-ending injury.
