It’s now been announced that Anderson has signed a deal with the Timberwolves.

He previously played for the franchise from 2022-24.

ESPN’s Shams Charania wrote last month: “Kyle Anderson has agreed to a contract buyout with the Memphis Grizzlies and plans to sign with the Minnesota Timberwolves after clearing waivers, sources tell ESPN. Anderson spent two seasons with the Timberwolves (2022-24) and gets an opportunity to rejoin the West contender.”

Following the news of the signing, Rudy Gobert was asked for his thoughts on Anderson (via Andrew Dukowitz of Zone Coverage).

Gobert said of Anderson: “I think just passing the ball… Someone that is looking to pass the ball to his teammates… He’s a connector, someone that makes plays for his teammates.”

Anderson was the 30th pick in the 2014 NBA Draft.

He has also had stints with the Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat.

His career averages are 6.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 48.1% from the field and 34.2% from three-point range in 738 games.

Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic wrote: “Kyle Anderson says he had several suitors after being bought out. Spoke to his grandmother, who is an avid fan, and she told him Minnesota. (Was Kyle just pandering to me by telling that story? Perhaps)”
