Lawyers have been retained as Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson navigate the fallout from their explosive bust-up.
The shock split, which has rocked the radio industry, unfolded after a fight live on air on February 20, which left Henderson in tears.
The 51-year-old radio star later gave notice through ARN Media that she “cannot continue to work with Sandilands” and will no longer present the popular KIIS FM show.
The statement also revealed the network considers Sandilands’ behaviour during the broadcast “an act of serious misconduct” and in breach of his contract with the network.
Sandilands, 54, has been given 14 days to remedy this breach and will not host The Kyle and Jackie O Show during this time.
The pair had recently signed the biggest radio deal in Australian history, a 10-year, $200 million contract with ARN.
Employment lawyers have already been retained after the partnership came to an abrupt end on Tuesday, The Daily Telegraph reports.

When contacted by the masthead, they said they were “conflicted” and could not talk about the looming legal battle.
Both Sandliands and Henderson have retreated from the public eye, as Amazon deliveries and Uber Eats packages were seen arriving at their respective homes.
Meanwhile, entertainment reporter Peter Ford claimed on The Morning Show one word “triggered” ARN bosses into taking immediate action against Sandilands.
“[Jackie O’s manager] Gemma [O’Neill] used a word that has triggered radio bosses. She has indicated that Jackie O feels ‘unsafe’ in the workplace and of course as employers, they have to now take certain precautions if she is going to be coming back to ensure this doesn’t end up in some kind of lawsuit.
“Most people I’ve spoken to don’t think she’s ever going to return,” he added.
Sandilands previously expressed his regret at the row in which Henderson broke down in tears after being lambasted over an apparent “fixation” with astrology.
“I obviously upset her. Maybe, in hindsight, I shouldn’t have said it on the air. But we say a lot of things on the air here,” he said last week.
“It was never meant to hurt her feelings, and obviously it did. I regret hurting her feelings. No one wants to hurt someone. Especially someone you care for.
“I don’t really know. The show is just ploughing ahead anyway. I’m just leaving this up to management.”
During the on-air bust-up, Sandilands hit out at his co-host, accusing her of letting her passionate interest in astrology affect her work.
“It’s affecting other things, like your fixation on this has made you almost unworkable. You’re off with the fairies with this s***. It’s mental,” he raged.
Sandilands claimed that “everyone in the building” had complained about her for “not doing the rest of the job”.
“I would never say things like that about you,” Henderson hit back as she broke down in tears.
“It’s a total attack, it really is … to say, ‘You don’t know what the F is going on, you’re not doing your job’, that’s an attack, and I wouldn’t do that.”
SkyNews.com.au contacted Henderson and Sandilands’ respective representatives for comment.
