Australia has been confirmed as one of the attendees at the International Fleet Review, known as Exercise Milan, sponsored by the Indian Navy as a major cultural exchange that hosted some 70 ships from 75 nations, just days before the Iranian frigate Dena was torpedoed and sunk off Sri Lanka.
The United States Navy has owned the sinking as part of its greater pummelling of Iran. It’s also part of its contemporary and evolving doctrine of massive threat neutralisation as it works with Israeli forces to leave the Iranian Republican Guard and the Islamic states’ current leaders smoking in a crater.
