On Saturday afternoon, the Minnesota Timberwolves will host the Orlando Magic at the Target Center.

They are coming off a 115-107 victory over the Toronto Raptors (also at home).

Joan Beringer played three minutes in the game, finishing with one steal.

Before Saturday’s game, the Timberwolves announced that they had assigned Beringer to the G League.

Timberwolves PR wrote: “NEWS: @Timberwolves assign center Joan Beringer to G League affiliate @iawolves.

Minnesota also transfers center Rocco Zikarsky from Iowa.”

Beringer’s Rookie Season In Minnesota

Beringer was the 17th pick in the 2025 NBA Draft this past summer.

He is averaging 3.0 points and 1.9 rebounds per contest while shooting 66.7% from the field in 30 NBA games.

Charlie Walton of Zone Coverage wrote: “Wolves are sending Joan Beringer back to the G-League.

Iowa plays tomorrow at home. And then on the 11th, they play the South Bay Lakers in LA. Minnesota will also be in LA at the time, so wanting Beringer to get some run with Iowa in that game (if that’s the plan) makes sense.”

Timberwolves This Season

The Timberwolves are coming off two trips in a row to the Western Conference finals.

Right now, they are the third seed with a 40-23 record in 63 games.

Over their last ten games, the Timberwolves have gone 8-2 (and they have won five in a row).

Following the Magic, they will play their next game on Tuesday night when they visit Luka Doncic and the Los Angeles Lakers in California.

Orlando Magic Before Saturday’s Game

The Magic come into play as the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 33-28 record in 61 games.

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak (and have won six out of their last ten).

Following the Timberwolves, the Magic will play their next game on Sunday when they visit the Bucks in Milwaukee.
