The unprecedented rise of One Nation is explored in a new special feature program which premiered on Sky News Australia.
The political party, founded in 1997 and led by Pauline Hanson, has seen a surge in support over the past three months and now half of the Australian population would seriously consider voting for One Nation, according to the latest Sky News Pulse polling from YouGov.
As the Coalition attempts to rebuild itself following an electoral wipeout last year and leadership turmoil in the months that followed, One Nation’s policies – particularly on immigration – and the leadership of Senator Hanson, are the major drivers of voters’ interest in the minor party, according to opinion polling.
This compelling special gives viewers exclusive inside access to the first joint party room meeting between Pauline Hanson and her star recruit Barnaby Joyce, marking a dramatic new chapter in the party’s evolution.
