New signings across the TPIL Lawyers QAFL and Bond University QAFLW continue to roll in, with several clubs announcing their newest recruits.

The Bond University Bullsharks welcome Tegan Williams from Casey Demons, Beth Pinchin from Sandringham and Tara Trethowan from the Geelong Falcons. 

The Cats welcomed Ethan Weidemann to their side from Turvey Park in the Wagga League, fresh from taking our the Wagga League Medal, Club best and fairest and captain of his club.

Maroochydore add to their lists with a number of new recruits. Taya Oliver joins the side from the Gold Coast SUNS where she played eight senior games. 

She is joined by fellow new recruit, Anita Ovenden, who has just come off a strong season with Wangaratta.

Former Vice Captain of the Australian Diamonds netball team, Gabi Simpson, joins the Roos in 2026 as well. From playing footy at UQ AFC, Gabi has now made the move to the Sunshine Coast.

Moreton Bay welcome Rose Hughes to the club from the Noosa Tigers, having played QAFLW at Maroochydore as a versatile ruck. 

The Vultures welcome Karl Petri to the football club from the South Cairns Cutters and spending a season in Mackay. 

He will be joined by Ben Major, a dangerous forward from Diamond Creek in Victoria. As a junior, Ben was awarded All-Australian honours at U15 level representing Vic Metro at Under 16 level and National Academy honours. 

Keegan Gray was signed on for Palm Beach Currumbin for season 2026 from the Southport Sharks where he featured in the past two VFL Grand Finals. 

Redland-Victoria Point welcome Will Shepherd who played in last year’s SA Country Football Championships. He also plays for the Lions VFL team and will juggle playing for both in 2026.

Joining him is Alex Sexton, 186-game Gold Coast SUNS player and local Queenslander who will share his time between the Sharks and the SUNS VFL commitments in 2026.

A new recruit for the Magpies is Harrison Bridge. After playing at the Lions Academy and selected for the Allies Championship, Harrison is back at the Magpies this season.

At Surfers Paradise, Rory Tarlinton will wear the red and the blue this year after playing for Aspley last season and prior to that, up in North Queensland. 

He will be joined by Lochlainn Simpson, a dominant ruckman from Maribyrnong Park in Victoria last season as well as the Northern Bullants in the VFL. 

Lekaiya Rabbitt joins the Gorillas in 2026, from the NTFL playing in the NFTL All Stars Game. She also had a taste of QAFLW playing a handful of games for Yeronga in 2025.

In the QAFL, the Gorillas welcome Jaiden Butson originally from Cairns but more recently having played with the GWS VFL side.
