EastEnders fans see Jasmine Fisher’s twin brother Josh Goodwin arrive in Albert Square next week – but he storms off when Denise Fox broaches the subject of his biological mum Zoe Slater. Will Josh come around to the new family members in his life?
When Denise and Kim learn that a woman called Sandra is hunting for information on Jasmine, the sisters immediately leap into protective mode. However, Denise and Kim soon discover that Sandra is, in fact, the adoptive mum of Zoe’s son, Josh.

The three women meet up for a chat, but the real shock comes when it turns out that Josh has also arrived in town to track down Sandra…
“Denise and Kim listen to Sandra as she talks about her backstory with Jasmine and Josh,” reveals our Walford insider. “It looks as though Sandra is about to up and leave the Square, but Josh turns up out of the blue.
“All of them are totally blindsided, particularly Denise and Kim, who weren’t expecting to meet Sandra in the first place. Knowing the Fox sisters, they’ll want to welcome Josh with open arms into the Trueman family. But let’s just say that it doesn’t go as smoothly as they hope…”
Once the shock wears off, Josh, Sandra, Denise and Kim all share a drink at The Albert, where Josh pushes for answers about his twin sister. However, Denise makes a huge mistake when she brings up Zoe, triggering Josh to storm out of the bar.
“Josh insists that he wants nothing to do with his biological mum,” explains our source. “Denise didn’t mean it cause any harm, but her and Kim are left to explain to Patrick about what went down between them and Josh.

“Having heard them out, Patrick is understandably gutted to have lost yet another connection to Anthony. Could Denise or Kim find a way to pull things back for Patrick’s sake?”
Afterwards, Denise receives a phone call from Sandra, which results in pair trying to speak to Josh about Jasmine for a second time. How will the conversation go this time?
Later in the week, Denise and Kim offer Patrick some optimism about Josh, before encouraging him to write a letter so that his grandson can get to know him a little, before deciding what he wants to do next.

Once Patrick puts pen to paper, the Fox ladies make their way to deliver the note by hand, while Sandra encourages Josh to give it a read. Eventually, Josh returns to Walford to inform Denise and Kim that he is prepared to meet the Trueman family next week.
How will Josh cope with meeting his blood relatives for the first time? And will he ever be ready to meet the Slater side of his family?
