TRIPLE Eight Supercars co-driver Scott Pye will join the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series broadcast team for its opening round this weekend at The Bend.
Pye, who made a one-off appearance in the Supercars TV team last August, will operate as both a pitlane reporter and co-commentator.
The rest of the broadcast team and telecast details are still to be announced.
“I am very excited to be joining the team at the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series for the opening round of the series at The Bend,” said Pye, who will again partner Will Brown in the Supercars enduro season.
“This was something that was first presented to me by Marcos Ambrose, and really anything that Marcos is involved in I jump at.
“I’ve had conversations with the team from Hi-Tec Oils and I love what they’re trying to do with the sport, really get back to what makes racing great again. If I can play a small part in that, that’s something I am very excited to do.
“I’m very excited to see the driving talent that’s coming through the ranks as well, there’s a few categories that I’m very passionate about, particularly Formula Ford for me, something close to my heart.
“I raced Formula Ford first in my journey of motorsport, and I’m excited to see the talent coming through the ranks there and get to the opening round.
“I’m very happy to be part of the team, I love what Hi-Tec Oils is doing to support the sport, and I’m very happy to be a part of that journey.”
The TA2 Muscle Car Series will be the headline act at The Bend, supported by Formula Ford, Legend Cars, Hyper Racer X1s, Innovation Race Cars and Formula RX8.
