Pittsford, N.Y. (WHAM) — Bills training camp is mostly about football, but it’s also about the moments between players and the fans.
As camp wrapped up Thursday, Josh Allen gave the gift of a lifetime to Special Olympian golfer Nate Forrestel, surprising him with two tickets to this year’s Ryder Cup on Long Island.
Nate is still in disbelief.
“Pure joy and happiness,” he said. “I knew it was something different, because he started talking like immediately.”
It’s a moment Nate and his mom, Debbie, will never forget.
“I just cried. I just cried,” Debbie said. “For him to come right up and talk to us.”
After being born with cerebral palsy, Nate says finding the game of golf changed his life.
Now a golf influencer, Nate is getting the chance to experience the sport at the highest level.
So what’s he most excited for?
“Can I say everything?” Nate said. “I want to be in that environment. It’s one of the things you want to do before you die.”
