The Ottawa Senators have acquired defenceman Samuel Bolduc from the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for forward Jan Jenik.
Bolduc, 25, has not played in the NHL this season. In 52 career games with the New York Islanders, the Laval, Que., native has four goals and four assists. He was originally selected 57th overall by the Islanders in the 2019 NHL Draft and was signed by the Kings as a free agent in July 2025.
He has played 56 games with the AHL’s Ontario Reign this season, scoring five goals and adding 16 assists.
Jenik, 25, has played 41 games with the Belleville Senators of the AHL, scoring nine goals and 17 points. He was originally selected in the third round (65th overall) in the 2018 NHL Draft. In 24 career NHL games with the Coyotes and Senators, the Nymburk, Czechia native recorded four goals and six points.
