Rounding out the Mid South Bike checks with a look at the three pro bikes from the men’s field.

With just hours before the elite groups depart for this year’s Mid South gravel and running races, conditions remain dry and fast. To the joy of many riders (and disappointment of event photographers), this does not look to be an infamous “mud year” where the red clay roads of Stillwater, OK, turn to peanut butter-like muck.
Around the expo today, there is talk of an average speed of 25 mph, which would put finishing times well under 4.5 hours. Given the expectations for such a fast pace, bike setups seem to feature tall gearing and plush tires for the most part. Let’s take a look at how some of the elite men have prepared for today’s race.
Cameron Jones’ Scott Addict RC
Fresh off a big 2025, New Zealander Cameron Jones is in Stillwater for his first go at a Mid South race. Having started last season without a guaranteed spot in the Life Time Grand Prix, the Kiwi racing for Scott Sports produced dominant performances across multiple events (including wins at Unbound and Little Sugar) to secure a wild card entry and then the overall series title.
Jone’s Scott Addict is featuring wheels from one of his new sponsors. The Industry Nine AR40 rims are laced to Solix hubs and wrapped in Schwalbe rubber. Both front and rear are G-One RS Pro in 700 x 50 mm, and he mentioned that come race time, both sidewalls will be the same color.
