Tokyo | Australia should be braced for more fallout from the widening war on Iran, says Resources Minister Madeleine King, who has warned that any slowdown in China as a result of the Gulf energy crisis could directly hit the domestic economy and federal budget.
“We haven’t had a war like this for some time, and if China slows its growth even marginally, that has an effect on Australia’s economy and our budget,” King told The Australian Financial Review on the sidelines of an energy conference in Tokyo on Sunday.
