One of Australia’s proven regional standouts, Alister Reginato, powered his way to the top of the 2026 Bioglan Newcastle SURFEST Presented by Bonsoy over Challenger Series champ Kauli Vaast. Reginato’s 7.33 held as the heat’s best heading into the final seconds before boosting his way to an excellent 8.67, holding Vaast to back-to-back SURFEST runner-up finishes on his way to the world’s best.
