The Chargers re-signed Pro Bowl linebacker Denzel Perryman to a one-year deal Thursday.
Day 4 of Chargers free agency consisted of two signings: former Ravens running back Keaton Mitchell and Perryman.

The return of the linebacker gives the Bolts another veteran presence back on the defense. The Chargers signed edge rusher Khalil Mack to an $18 million deal earlier this week, signaling the team’s priority of keeping veterans in the locker room. Perryman and Mack should help the unit adjust in defensive coordinator Chris O’Leary’s inaugural season in the position.
The 33-year-old is entering his 13th NFL season, his ninth season with the Bolts amid his second stint with the organization. Perryman began his professional career with the San Diego Chargers and later returned to the organization in 2024.
He earned his first and only Pro Bowl as a member of the Raiders in 2021. In 2025, Perryman posted 30 solo tackles, five tackles for loss and three quarterback hits.
