A man has been charged with murder after a woman and baby girl were found dead at their house in Logan, south of Brisbane. 

The 37-year-old woman and 11-month-old were found dead inside the Belivah home on Thursday morning when police attended the house to advise that the man had been hit by a car. 

A crime scene was declared at the house and on Beaudesert Beenleigh Road at Bannockburn where the man was struck by a car at about 7:30am.

The 38-year-old man was taken to hospital in a serious condition.

The Belivah man, who was known to the victims, has been charged with one count each of murder (domestic violence offence) and murder (domestic violence offence against a child).

The man continues to receive medical treatment in hospital and is due to appear via video link at Brisbane Magistrates Court on Wednesday, March 18. 

Investigations remain ongoing.
