Former UFC champions and longtime rivals, Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier, are team coaches for ALF Reality Global 3, Russia’s Ultimate Fighter (TUF) knockoff that was so enamored with Jones in Season 2, producers went and invited “Bones” back for Season 3.

“Sergei’s so mad, because now he has a cut under his chin, and he runs into the kitchen, and he wants to try to grab a knife,” Jones explained. “Which is really one of the most intense moments that I personally have seen being a part of this show for two seasons now. It scared the sh*t out of everybody. I had to grab the knife from one of the guys. It was really intense, and I think for the first time, everybody on set kind of felt really unsafe.”

“Well, I have to go,” Cormier said after the incident. “I think we’re gonna go home. I might give them their money back and stay home, man. I don’t know. I can’t do this. It’s too much. Somebody is gonna get hurt bad, like bad. I didn’t know it was this. It’s like, really bad. This guy got hit in the face when he wasn’t paying attention. Like, he was sitting there. and somebody hit him on the side of the tooth. But now they’re fighting outside. Man, I don’t know if I can do this. Tell him, this is too much. Like I might not be able to do this.”

“Daniel Cormier mentioned that he wanted to go home, and obviously, we can’t do this show without Daniel Cormier,” Jones admitted. “Especially this far into it. You know, I stood up, and I just talked to the guys about the fact that, ultimately this is a TV show, and ultimately, we have families at home, kids, and sponsors, and all types of stuff, and none of us can afford to lose any of this.”

Jones eventually convinced Cormier to stick around.
