What is BoxMed?
BoxMed is the official technological platform powered by the WBC to revolutionize safety in boxing. This digital tool allows for comprehensive, real-time tracking of athletes’ medical and physical data, focusing on three fundamental pillars:
Weight Monitoring:Â Helps prevent severe dehydration and drastic weight cuts prior to bouts.
Digital Medical History:Â Centralizes exams, certifications, and health records so they are securely accessible anywhere in the world.
Athlete Safety:Â Facilitates seamless communication between boxing commissions, physicians, and trainers to ensure the fighter enters the ring in peak condition.
Currently, BoxMed has a presence in 53 countries and is available in eight languages, breaking geographical and linguistic barriers to protect the international boxing community.
The WBC invites all boxers, trainers, and managers to join this initiative. The fighter’s health is the number one priority.
