Hey Subscribers,

Before I delve into today’s mammouth transfer story that provides the latest on contract extensions for two key riders at Lidl-Trek, along with updates on the future of several UAE Team Emirates-XRG athletes, the rumours of a former Ineos Grenadiers rider returning home, and more on the Paul Seixas situation, I just wanted to highlight something I overlooked from yesterday’s story involving Arnaud De Lie – the Jarrad Drizners link.

The Australian was a bit of a surprise transfer from Lotto to Red Bull last winter following the merger of Lotto and Intermarché, but he was a vital cog in the De Lie leadout. They raced the Tour de France together and had over 35 joint race days in 2025. I’m not suggesting that Drizners’s move to Red Bull should be seen as an absolute prequel to De Lie’s potential move to the German team, but the Australian signed a one-year deal, and that sort of relationship between lead-out rider and sprinter can be really important, especially when a team are looking to build around a marquee sprinter. Again, this isn’t breaking news, but I think it’s worth keeping an eye on over the coming weeks.

Now, would you like Lidl-Trek and Ineos Grenadiers contract and transfer news, along with updates on key ins and outs at Decathlon, UAE Team Emirates-XRG and plenty more transfer talk? Sure, you would.
