Leah Remini Returns to Instagram to Thank Fans Amid ‘Incredibly Difficult’ Chapter originally appeared on Parade.
Leah Remini returned to Instagram on August 8 with a special message for her fans, thanking them for sticking by her.
“It’s been a while since I’ve posted, and I just want to say how grateful I am for the kind of fans who don’t disappear when I do. Thank you for sticking around and for understanding that sometimes silence is just part of my process,” Remini, 55, captioned an Instagram post.
Remini went on to talk about two devastating losses she’s been faced with following the death of her dear friend Mike Rinder and a young girl named Maddie, whose Make a Wish dream was to meet Remini and her Kevin Can Wait co-star, Kevin James.
“As most of you know, these past months have been incredibly difficult. Losing Mike Rinder. Losing Maddie. The sadness doesn’t go away, and honestly, part of me holds onto it because it feels like a way to keep them close. Like if I stop being sad, I’ve somehow left them behind,” Remini continued, adding, “But I’m learning that grief and life can exist together. That we can honor the ones we’ve lost by staying present for the ones still here.”
Amid the tough times, Remini is remembering to enjoy the brighter moments in life. She shared that she went to a wedding dress fitting with her niece, who is also celebrating her birthday today.
“Life continues. It demands to be lived, even when your heart aches. And I choose to celebrate. To try to show up for love, for joy, for the future,” Remini wrote.
Remini took a bit of a break from acting for a few years, not appearing in any films or television shows from 2018 through 2025. This year, she starred in two movies; Flight Risk and The Mother, the Menacer, and Me, according to her IMDb page. She doesn’t appear to have anything upcoming for the rest of 2025 or for 2026 as of now.
