ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville Men’s Tennis extended its winning streak to six straight with a 5-2 win over North Carolina A&T on Thursday (Mar. 19) at Enka High School. Asheville has now won six in a row for the first time since 2024.
 
The Bulldogs won the doubles point with two wins in doubles play, going on to take the match with four wins in singles play.
 
Jip Mens and Cian Ingles began the day with a 6-3 win over Niklas Laux and Mathieu Dussaubat at No. 2, before N.C. A&T knotted doubles play with a win at No. 3. Griffin Lovern and Harrison Cooper would clinch the doubles point at No. 1 with a 7-6 (8-6) win over Kaua Santos and Jindrich Brill.
 

Cooper began singles play with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Gabriel Linovic at No. 5, before A&T got on the board with a win at No. 4 singles. Daniel Franco-Key would put the Bulldogs up 3-1 in the match with a 6-0, 6-4 win over Illia Olefir at No. 3, while defending Big South Conference Player of the Week Mens would beat Santos 6-1, 6-2 to clinch the match. Ingles was able to grind out a 5-7, 6-4, 10-5 win over Brill at No. 2, before A&T brought the match to its final score with a win at No. 6 singles.
